Strap on sandal caused blisters on heel
I purchased a pair of ****** Mary Wedge Sandals with a strap on the back from Sandton. I used it and found that it caused blisters on my heel. I took it to Truworths Fourways and told them what had happened and even showed them the blisters. They said that they will show it to their Area Manager and respond to me by the 2nd December which they hadn't. I received a call from Elizabeth - the store Manager this morning to say that the sandal had gone to the quality department and there was nothing wrong with the sandal. Do they take the quality department's word over the customer. I want to be credited for this sandal as I will be afraid of wearing it. I told Elizabeth that I am going to report this incident on Hello Peter and she had a don't care attitude. What happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Thank you for your post.
In line with our returns policy we will gladly exchange or refund merchandise returned within 30 days from the date of purchase provided that it has not been worn or used, the tags are attached and valid proof of purchase is presented.
We have liaised with the manager of the store in question and were informed that as your return did not fully comply with the conditions of our returns policy you were correctly informed that a return could not be authorized. As you were not happy with this decision the matter was escalated to the Area Manager who also declined the return as there had been no defect on the shoes.
The shoes were then sent to our Quality Assurance department for further assessment and your return was regretfully declined as the damage was not as a result of a manufacturing fault. We believe that you were informed of this and that you have subsequently collected the shoes from our store.
We regret that you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your query, but trust that we have adequately attended to your concerns.
Kind regards,
Lynn
