Store Manager requires sufficient training
I was at the Truworths store in N1City last Saturday. I wanted to return a top I bought in December. I paid R440 for this top and after looking for another size I couldnt find. I tried to return it to this store and was told that the month has passed that goods could be returned. Now I completely understand this policy as I have worked in retail myself. The garment is in tact with the tag still attached. The assistant then called the manager and the two of them talked in the corner before returning to me. She explained that the garment is not in a position to be sold again. I am pretty sure they used a magnifying glass to point out the little dot(smaller than a new born baby's nail) I had to listen to how no one would be able to purchase this garment again. I completely have a problem with this statement because most times there are garments in store that has marks on as a result of packaging, people touching and dropping it on the floor. When you approach them they are quick to tell you that its your choice to buy it like that. I paid so much money for something i am unable to wear. I have not been offered an alternative in anyway and the manager just walked away once she was done talking to me.
