SOOOO frustrating...!
It is SO frustrating that Truworths don't send statements by email every month... like Edgars do, for example! I live in a rural area and most times I either receive my statement late or not at all. I maintained a zero balance from July last year for this very reason... but I did purchase on it recently... so it's back to the frustrations of receiving my account through the post!
My second frustration is that having registered online so that I can view my account (the call centre tells me that this has been in operation for a few years... but no other consultant ever mentioned this in the past!) I am unable to change my name which is incorrect on the Truworths system!!!
I think that having to check your account online runs a poor second to having your statement emailed to you every month. Who has the time to do this regularly and at the right time of the month?
Bravo Edgars and all other companies who send their statements via email! Surely Truworths wants to join the leaders, become 'green' and save paper too???!!!
At Truworths, customer service excellence is of primary importance to us and we thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
We acknowledge your frustration regarding this issue. Regrettably, Truworths does not have the facilities in place to dispatch customer's monthly statements via email; however, customers are advised to contact our Call Centre on *** and request that their latest statement be sent to them via e-mail or fax on a manual basis.
Alternatively, you can SMS 'BAL' followed by your 14 digit account number to 31580. You will receive an SMS update of your balance as well as the available credit on your account. Additionally, we have checked our records and can confirm that your name is correct on our system.
We apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced, but trust that we have adequately assisted you. We encourage you to contact us on *** or send an e-mail to *** if you require any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Charmaine
