Severe LACK of skill
I paid my truworth account 3 sept 2020. I paid R120 less than I should have. 7 days later truworth debt collectors fone. I was stunned. Why? Because 7 days later I received my next statement amount due 4 Oct 2020 and they had added the interest which they add if one has paid to little. The sheer audacity to fone on the same day from the debt collecting department. To top things I was asked to verify my details then the woman keeps quiet. If I must verify then why they waiting for me to give all that personal information when they got it infront of them. I asked her to verify she is foning from Truworths. Well I am still waiting. Can these people not at least wait 30days or more then send notices then fone. But at least for a substantial amount not for R120 and not after you have sent me an account with the added interest already. So if truworth staff can stop asking for personal details when they phone that will be great & even better to phone when its a properly overdue and a huge amount owed. If you saw the amount I owe in TOTAL you would laugh. I dont even owe R1000. So if Debt collectors want their money they WILL send me written proof and breakdown of said amount. Not fone. I have said before to truworths I want WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE. I have the right to correct this account in a timely fashion. Not text me a statement due 4 oct 2020 then a couple of hours later send me the same amount in arrears and payable immediately. The person doing the math needs extra lessons. The full amount payable next month is not the arrears amount to be paid immediately. So if truworths can hire someone who can do simple adding and subtracting that would be swell. At least the interest added for oct statement amount is correct. I am sure that was checked by an accountant. Those figures are top notch.
