Sandton City Truworths Sucks!!

Sandton City Truworths would rather inconvenience thier cleints, than try to help them.

I bought a Guess sunglasses from Mall of the South Truworths on 23 Dec 2018 and on 29 Dec 2018 I went into Sandton City Truworths to return it. It was never used (still with the price tag attached to the frame) and a sunglasses consultant said that I used the glasses and it got scratches on it therefore they cannot accept the return. (Keep in mind the sunglasses is spotless and the price tag still attached to the frame).

I requested to speak to manager since the consultant was of no help. The manager arrived and I asked her to inspect the sunglasses and tell me if there is any damage. The manager could not see any damages and did not answer my question as to if they was any damages but asked the consultant where is the damage. The consultant then pointed out light scratches that are in the actual plastic and said that I caused it. (These scratches that the consultant is pointing out is from the manufacturing process which is so slightly visible that I still ended up buying the sunglasses. Those scratches are so insignificant that it is only visible under a powerful direct light). The manager then sided with the consultant and refused to accept the sunglasses.

In my opinion the sunglasses consultant was rude and unprofessional and failed to help me but rather waste my time. The manager is *********** as she needed her subordinate to make a decision for herself. (The manager failed to pick up any damages but stood by the consultant inspection). I was told by the manager that I am wasting her time and that she will not refund these sunglasses.

Later on in that day I went to Mall of the South Truworths to return the sunglasses and with ease the consultant returned it. I even asked her to inspect it and tell me what she thinks. The consultant said that the sunglasses is in 100% condition and that the tag is still attached so she will gladly refund the sunglasses for me as I also have the POP. All that was needed was some common sense in order to solve this small query.

So why does one Truworths accept refunds and the other refuses to accept a refunds?

Poor service from Sandton City. I wasted my time walking into that store. Way too many complaints from Truworths throughout the board. Everyday customers are complaining on Hellopeter. Senior management at Truworths is failing to keep a customer centric culture.

Slowly but surely Truworths will lose thier customers if they continue with poor service. Truworths should learn from the mistakes Edgars made.

Bottomline... Truworths HR division is not employing the correct people for the jobs.
