Returns within 2 weeks after bought shoes

Good day, I bought a pair of shoes at Truworths in Matlosana Mall, Klerksdorp on my account. I wore the shoes to work as this was the purpose for the shoes and the shoes were uncomfortable to wear. I took the shoes back to the store and explain that to the store Manager and she refuse to exchange the shoes as she said that I wore the shoes. I did explain to her that it was only one day(did she expect me to walk without shoes at work that day?) and that i feel the shoes is not comfortable and can not be used for the purpose it was bought for. She then said that their area manager will have a look at the shoes and will make the decision. They called me last week I notified me that Mr. Gawie Jansen van Rensburg had also said that he will not refund or exchange the shoes as I wore them for the one day and he doesn't see any factory defects. He spoke yesterday to my wife and said that he will send the shoes away to have them tested for defects. My problem is will he be able to test the shoes to my feet? No as he wants to send it away. I have never had any problems when I previously bought shoes at other places and took it back due to them not been right for my feet as I work in retail and need to have comfortable shoes. This is a first time I have experienced this treatment from a store regarding returning items bought and as per the CPA not being able to use them for the purposes bought. I don't understand why Mr Gawie Jansen van Rensburg is not adhering to the CPA and allow me to choose a other pair of shoes or credit my account. This needs to be sorted out asap and not by sending the shoes for testing as it won't be tested on my feet therefor won't make a difference to me.
