RETURNS POLICY

On 18 July 2016 my husband bought me a watch for my birthday on his account, unfortanetly he bought me a watch that I already have, so on saturday I went to Truworths woodlands boulevard to exchange it for antoher one. When i got to the till i was informed that i could not exchange the gift because it was not my account, they could only credit the account. WHAT the hell?!?!?! This is a gift someone gave me how can I not exchange it?!?! It was exactly the same price as the other one, simple exchange, then the manager informs me that my husband should have gotten a gift receipt. I asked what that was as I had never heard of that before in my life, it is apparetly a slip that they give you without the purchase prices on it that you give with your gift for incase. WOW thanks for informing your clients of such a thing, easy as "remeber mam/sir if this is a gift please take a gift receipt" really how hard is that?!?! I have never ever heard of something so ridiculous in my life!!! It an exchange i wasn't buying items worth more than the gift item price. Your shop is expensive and useless... i will definitely engourage my husband to close the ridiculous account and open something at a different store.
