Refusing to refund

I refused a gift from my partner two weeks ago. A Bad Girl watch. The watch was purchase 5 weeks ago. And was only given to me as a gift 2 week ago. In the two weeks the watch has discoloured and the hands in the watch are lose and moving around. I tried to return the watch today and was told that I can't return or replace it or get a refund but instead will take it in for repairs. Surely I am not expected to keep am item which is dysfunctional and low quality! So when it returns and discolours again I am expected to come bring it back again! This is not fair. Truworths should deal with the brand and ensure they provide quality items and not the ill-treat the customer.

Thank you for your post and allowing us the opportunity to assist.

When a watch is returned to our stores within the warrantee period and presents a manufacturing fault relating to the mechanism of the watch, it needs to be sent to the supplier for further assessment and/or authorization for a refund/exchange.

Subsequent to your post we liaised with the relevant Store Manager regarding your concerns. We believe that the manager has contacted you and was able to successfully resolve this matter for you.

We sincerely apologize for your experience in this regard and look forward to seeing you in our store again soon.

Kind regards,

Truworths Online Team
