refusing to assist with damaged Goods

I recently purchased a watch from the on-line store. the watch was delivered to me by the stores Area Manager after the branch messed up.
moving on, got the watch, within 30-days the wrist strap on the watch was broken - not torn - and not due to negligence - but probably due to a merchandise's poor quality.
now on the 17/03/2015 i went to the store to try return the item and i was informed i couldn't return it there as i purchased it on-line - i in turn asked the supervisor why, and she said its the way it is.
on the 18/03/2015 i called the store and spoke to the manager who after hearing had taken place told me that i cannot return/exchange the watch due to their terms and conditions surrounding watches.

initially i was going to the store to ask for a exchange - now i no longer want exchange, i want a full refund.

store guilty: Truworths. Bloemfontein, mimosa mall.

note: the manager said he'd call me back but he didn't.

Hello newuser,

Thank you for affording us the opportunity to address your concerns.

We have escalated your concerns to the Admin Manager at the store in question. We established that on the day of your visit to the store, you were correctly advised that the strap of the watch was not covered under the guarantee. As such you are unfortunately liable for the repair of the watch strap yourself.

We regret that you are not pleased with the outcome to your query, but hope that you will be able to accept our stance regarding this matter. Should you have any further queries or suggestions, do not hesitate to contact us on *** or send an e-mail to *** and we will gladly assist you.

Kind regards,
Charmaine
