Refused entry because I want to use my own sanitizer!!!
I have been refused entry to a shop because I refuse to use their sanitizer. I was informed they have a new policy and in order to be able to enter, one has to use the sanitizer at the door. I have a skin condition and I cannot use any sanitizer as I could develop a bad rash or allergic reaction. This is absurd!!!! What a bad management decision. I have a mask, I keep my distance but yet, I am refused entry. Phoned head office, they cannot explain the decision. Just that it is new policy. I am being discriminated against and I feel like a ******** because I cannot use their sanitizer. I believe you will loose many clients but I guess that it is ok.

23 May 2021, 10:49There is NO way you can guarantee that your sanitizer is according to government regulations just as you cannot ensure mine is. So I can throw the ball back in your court. If I use yours, and I have a bad reaction due to my skin condition, Truworths would be liable for my medical expenses, treatment and trauma. I will never set foot in a Truworths store. I am not welcome and therefore my money is not welcome either. I will not take any chances using your sanitizer as you cannot guarantee it is suitable to my skin.
