Profiled and Humiliated at Truworths Mall of Africa

I had a deeply upsetting experience at Truworths Mall of Africa. After making purchases, I was followed around the store by a security guard named Sharon Malatji. At the exit, she confronted us and demanded to search us, even after we had already shown our receipts. The way we were treated felt like blatant profiling — we were made to feel like ********s for simply shopping.

It was humiliating, uncalled for, and deeply disappointing. I returned both of my purchases immediately because I refuse to support a store that treats paying customers this way.

I contacted Truworths customer support on Sunday and still haven’t received any feedback or apology. As a long-time account holder, I expect better. If this is how Truworths handles customer relations, I will be closing my account.

This kind of treatment should not be ignored.
