Poor Quality of Goods & Pathetic Customer Service
Purchased a watch at Truworths in Southgate on the 19th December , the watch (R500) wasn't even 2 weeks old and it had abrasions underneath the straps on the inside (that normally happens when the watch is about 1-2 years old) I took the watch back on the 14th Jan where I was told it will be sent for Repairs to the Supplier and they will call me within a week - Waited for 2 weeks nobody called and i had to call them - I was told that the supplier normally don't do this but they decided to replace the watch for me (Yippee I was supposed to be happy for that now) I was also told that should the problem re-occur , there is no guarantee that the supplier will fix or refund -- I need my money refunded please , however dealing with the staff at Truworths Southgate has become a nightmare ! According to them they are doing me a huge favour by replacing the watch, can you imagine that! Telling me about the supplier saying this and the supplier saying that, last time I checked I bought the watch from them and not the supplier! Pls give me my money back!

Thank you for your post and allowing us the opportunity to respond.
We acknowledge your frustration in this regard as quality is of utmost importance to us and we are therefore concerned to hear about your experience.
We can confirm that you were correctly advised on the day of your visit to the store that only the mechanism of the watch is covered under the warrantee.
The watch was sent to the supplier for a quality assessment and as the strap presented a manufacturing fault, they have agreed to replace the watch for you. As you are not happy with the feedback in this regard we have escalated your concerns to the Area Manager to assist in resolving this matter for you. She will be in contact with you shortly.
Kind regards,
Lynn
