13 May 2015, 07:36Hello Mukonde,
Thank you for your post.
We acknowledge your concerns raised and have investigated your complaint. We established that your cell phone was sent to MTN for a warrantee assessment. MTN's finding is that the handset has liquid damage and can therefore not be repaired. They informed us that they made several attempts to contact you both telephonically and via SMS on the number listed in your post to advise of this. They were unable to make contact with you and they did not receive a response to the SMS's that were sent to you.
Upon receipt of this post, we contacted you and informed you that the handset is currently with MTN and that they will only send it back to the Truworths store once you pay the release fee. We acknowledge your frustration in this regard and have escalated this to the relevant Area Manager who will contact you as soon as this matter has been resolved.
We commit to remain in contact with you until such time that this matter has been acceptably resolved.
Kind regards,
Lynn
