Pathetic service, unacceptable, unprofessional

Today(23rd December 2023), I visited Truworths Gateway, with my parents in law who are in their 70’s. I was purchased a fragrance which took ages to pay for as the store was allowing customers purchasing cloths in this cosmetic department to also pay for their items here, which firstly is not fair on those buying cosmetics and fragrances only in the department. The staff were frazzled and clearly not prepared for the long queues , leave alone just a single teller and one unused teller left closed, yes on the eve of the Christmas rush, which means they never learnt from last year. But the thing that ****ed me off, was when one of sales persons a female told my parents in law they couldn’t sit in the store , where they were seated waiting patiently for me to pay up, due to the chaos at the till points, as I mentioned they are in their 70’s and are waiting patiently due to the stores incompetence to handle a large crowd, it was really hot as well, so my in-laws had to leave and wait outside, the human thing to do would have taken them somewhere were they could be seated and shown more empathy, but the staff in truworths cleanly don’t have this basic competency…absolutely pathetic behaviour by your staff..will never set foot in a truworths again
