Paid account, but still being billed

On the 07/02/2015 I paid off my truworths account with MBD. I received a paid up letter from MBD. On the very same day after paying off my account with MBD at Standard bank I went to truworths store at Balfour Park Johannesburg, to check if my account has been closed. The consultant adviced that my account is still in arrears with R137. I paid the R137 at the store, and he assured me that the account would be closed . On the 29/04/2015, I went to the Balfour Park branch again, I was told that my account is in arrears with R132. I dont understant what that R132 is for. I called truworths branch to find out what its for. They could not give me a straight answer and referred me to MBD. I called MBD and they said my account is paid up. I called the head office again and they said there is nothing they can do about it. I need someone to take reaponsibility for this and I need my credit status cleared. If MBD, says that I paid off my account and truworths says I have not. Then I expect truworths to give me an explanation for the charges.

Hello MSEABI,

Thank you for your post and affording us the opportunity to attend to your concerns.

Our records indicate that your account was handed over to Munnik Basson Dagama (MBD) in 2014. We therefore escalated this matter to their management team to further assist in this regard.

We have been informed that your account has indeed been paid up, upon receipt of your payment made in February 2015. Additional fees were erroneously charged to your account by MBD and we have received confirmation from MBD that these fees will be reversed from your account. Your credit profile will be updated accordingly once your balance reflects as zero.

Following our telephonic conversation, we wish to apologise for the error and are committed to providing you with further feedback once we have received confirmation from MBD that the fees have been reversed.

Should you in the interim have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us on *** or via email on ***.

Kind regards,

Lynn
