After 2 hours of waiting the Regional Manager managed to assist me by calling their head office to unblock the account. It was around 14:15 pm after buying the phone I immediately traveled to Limpopo. Saturday night the phone screen went blank for 1 hour the phone will stiil receive messages and calls but you could not see who is calling as the screen was blink. Sunday I traveled back when I got to witbank the store was already closed. Monday I went back with everything the phone, box and accessories. Thank you for your post.
Cellphone returns are subject to the terms and conditions of the service provider, in this instance being MTN.
In the event that the device has a manufacturing defect and this is identified and communicated within the first 7 days from the date of purchase the complete unit with the box, accessories and packaging can be returned for a possible exchange on the same model or a refund subject to the device being assessed at a MTN Service and Repair Centre.
Upon liaising with the Store Manager , we were informed that on the day of your return, 31 August 2015, the cell phone presented no fault and was fully functional. As you indicated that you were not happy with this, the Store Manager agreed to have the handset sent to MTN for a warrantee assessment. As the store was awaiting your return one of the accessories, the handset was checked again on 02 September and no fault was found.
We can confirm that the cellphone has been submitted for the assessment and that the Store Manager is committed to remain in contact with you and will provide feedback within this week.
We trust that we have adequately responded to your concerns.
Kind regards,
Lynn
