Online Prices no longer applicable when doing in store returns

Dear Truworths,

I ordered two pairs of boy’s shoes on your Black Friday online sale. The order was placed on 22 Nov 2023. The order number is o***. The order was delivered only on 5 December 2023. This is almost two weeks later!!! One of the pairs of sneakers was too small for my son. I went to my nearest store today to return the shoes and get the credit. I bought these online for R 250.00. When I got to the store two days after receiving my order, I noticed they have a bigger size, only the sneakers are no longer R 250.00 but R 330.00. I take it to the counter to do the exchange and I thought I would pay the black Friday price. The manager advised that the black Friday price was no longer applicable and charged me for the higher price. Apparently, the special price ended on Sunday. But I only received my order on Tuesday, so how was I supposed to return the shoes before the special price lapsed???? I find this to be unacceptable as I bought the shoes for R 250.00 and there was no disclaimer to say that I will not be able to exchange it at the same price. I have been a true loyal client of Truworths for many years and always pay my account on time and manages my account in a satisfactory way. I must be honest that this left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I do not know if I want to be a Truworths customer anymore.
