NOT GOING THE EXTRA MILE

I called Truworths Walmer Park to check what time they closed because I needed to pick up an online order which I waited so long for. Granted it was 17:09pm when I called and Walmer Park Shopping centre closes at 18pm. We thought the store also closed at 18pm. Whoever I spoke to, did not even give me a chance to finish my sentence. Just said we are closed. But I could hear that there were still customers instore. I got to the store at 17:20pm and still they said they could not assist. An assistant said they needed to scan the parcel and could not help me. For going over and above for a customer, they could have asked for the order number, scanned the parcel or do whatever they needed to do before I got there and just handed me the parcel. I know it’s Xmas Eve and staff want to get home to their families. But I feel they could have done something. I waited so long for this shoe and now have no shoe to wear tomorrow. It’s just sad to feel so terrible about it. Did not expect this from Truworths and deeply disappointed in their service.
