Not crediting the account
We bought a Choc High Top takkie from Truworths on 23/04/2015. After wearing the takkie thrice it tore by the stitching. On the 03/05/2015 we returned the takkie to Truworths Promenade where we were told that it will be sent to the Quality Control department and that it should take a week for us to get a response. On Monday 04/05/2015 I called customer care department to advise that I am not happy with the takkie first going to quality control as we only have the takkie for a week and that we are always disgusted by the managers attitude. I get a call today to say that quality control has advised that unfortunately it is not a quality problem and that they will not be crediting my account nor are they prepared to replace the item. This is bull ****, the takkie is only a week old and it already tore by the stitching. I want the item credited to my account and will not accept this **** excuse that we have been given!
Thank you for raising this quality concern with us.
Truworths is very proud of its commitment to offering merchandise of superior quality and style. As a result, we were concerned to hear of your disappointment with the shoes bought at one of our stores.
When merchandise presents with a potential quality issue, our Returns Policy makes provision for the item to be assessed within six months from the date of purchase. If the Store Manager has assessed the item and is unable to establish the cause of the damage, the item is sent to our Quality Assurance department at our Head Office for further assessment.
We were informed that you were contacted subsequent to your post by the Area Manager of the store and that you are satisfied with the manner in which this was handled.
Best regards,
Chevola
