Not allowed to buy at a store
I went to the store and when I got there it was 16:59, they close at 17:00, they then told me that they are closed but they then let someone in but they still refused to let me in and they said they I will not not buy if I follow the person they have let in at the store while there were still other people who where still paying and buying inside. The question is who gets special treatment and with this service I got must I continue to use my store card or close the account or Truworths is not for people like me? This happened on 22 August 2015.

We acknowledge your frustration and were concerned to read about your experience.
As such we immediately communicated this to the Manager of the mentioned store. We were informed that a customer had indeed been allowed to enter the store after the closing time. This being said there were extenuating circumstances surrounding this issue as the customer had been in store minutes before the closing time and a transaction was already in progress.
Further to this, at the time you arrived it was already after 5pm; and the store was officially closed. The door was manned by a security guard to inform customers that the store was closed. At the time of your visit the consultant noticed you at the door talking to the security guard and he intervened.
We were informed that the Floor Manager attempted to call you on the number listed in your post, but was regrettably unsuccessful in his attempt. He has however asked us, to apologise to you for the manner in which you felt you were assisted on the day.
We trust that we have adequately responded to the concerns raised in your post.
