Not allowed to buy

During my lunch hour at 12:45 i went to the mall to buy a phone. Getting there i stood in a long queue then after that the cashier tells me i should go to the phone side. I went met one colored lady who refused to hear anything from me as i didn't have proof of residence. My problem with this is that I was going to use my account to buy the phone. And she said that i need the pop i asked her but i'm using my account and my address is here she still refused. I feel that it is wrong that i wasted my time there for nothing and at the end of the day i was not assisted. It did not make sense that i am the account holder brought my id and card to buy however i was not allowed. WHY?
