NO SLIP NO REFUND FOR POOR QUALITY SHOES

I purchased a shoe from the store, paid cash and did not save the slip. Who would think of saving the slip when purchasing from a supposedly exclusive store. I have worn the shoes for the 2nd time today, and see the the glue and stitches are opening up and the net on the shoe is tearing. The shoe is clearly stamped INWEAR (TRUWORTHS BRAND) And has a star stamped on a small square of black leather sewn onto the shoe. The person I spoke to at head office, asked me how sure could they be that I had purchased the shoe from a Truworths store. I often go to the same store as I live nearby. I am disgusted, to some people R220 might not be a lot, but it took me 2 weeks to save that money. I cannot believe that customers can be ********** so easily. As far as the Head Office is concerned they cannot help me. So I'm now stuck with a shoe that cannot be repaired..What a poor show Truworths. .

Hello Cocoa@1,

At Truworths, we aim to provide our customers with high quality fashionable merchandise that meets and exceeds the high standards that we set. It is the odd exception where an item may fall short of these standards.

In the event that an item should show any signs of a potential defect, our procedure is to assess the items at the store. If the Store Manager is unable to make a decision, the item is sent to our team of Quality Assessors at Head Office for further inspection. We assure you that merchandise found to be defective will gladly be credited or exchanged, provided that it meets the requirements of our Returns Policy.

We have liaised with the Assistant Manager at the respective store and confirm that you have in fact returned the shoes to them for an assessment.

Kind regards,
Charmaine
