No return on damaged clothing

On Wednesday 24/06/2015, I bought a very expensive coat. The very next day, I wore it to work, and noticed when I arrived at work, that there is a damage area on this coat, on the rear side. I immediately went to the store where I purchased it from, to have it returned, but they refused to assist in this matter. The lady imp**** that I could have damaged by the car seats, as this happens to her often. I explained that I had not driven to work that morning, and asked how they can assist me in either replacing it, or returning it. They did not make any effort in assisting in having it either replaced or returned, which to my knowledge was totally unfair. As I bought it just the previous day, and could not have damaged it by myself.

Please refer to the \Treating customers fairly"law"

Hello eulender,

Thank you for your post and affording us the opportunity to attend to your concerns.

At Truworths, we go to great lengths to ensure that the products our customers buy off our shelves has never been worn, are in a perfect condition at all times and remain current.

Therefore, as we were concerned to hear about your experience we discussed this matter with the Store Manager mentioned in your post. We were informed that upon assessing your coat, the damage reported by you appeared to be as a result of the coat being hooked onto something and not due to a manufacturing fault. As you were not happy with the decision taken by the Manager, she will send your coat for further assessment by Quality Control (QC) department.

Following our telephonic conversation, we confirm that you have been informed of this decision and have agreed to return the garment to the mentioned store for the assessment.

We would like to thank you once again for affording us the opportunity to respond and are committed to remain in contact with you until this matter has been resolved.

Kind regards,

Lynn
