No Business Ethics

I opened an account with Truworths reciently: March

- 6 month interest free

I then purchased goods in March as well. R 2500 worth of clothing .

The accounts dept. put my details in incorrectly on the system and thus didnt recieve any statements in order to pay my account.

The beginning of April comes, they phone me for outstanding monies.

I then told them i hav not recieved any bills in order to pay the acount.
So they get the account through to me on the 13 April via email.

So i paid them R2000 at the end of the month 28 April (which is way more than i should of actually paid as it is a 6 month interest free account.)

Then comes the fun part, they are now billing me R53.49 interest on a non-bearing interest account. Reason being : account was paid late.

Maybe i am being unreasonable, but i think this is extremely unfair as it was not my fault the account wasnt paid if you dont have any information in order to pay.. Doesnt CPA cover the consumer under these circumstances?

I have sent them numerous mails explaining the situation and they still refuse to rectify the problem.

Also, after the first complaint i still wasnt getting statements, complained again and they sent me the last 2 months statements now.

No business ethics what so ever....
