Never order from Truworths online!

In December I was looking for a specific type and color of blanket sold by Loads Of Living. After calling and visiting multiple stores in Johannesburg I went online and saw there was stock so I decided to call in to order. The lady that assisted me was wonderful and assured me that the order of 2 blankets would be delivered in 7 working days.

Sure enough, 7 working days later, I got a message to say my order would be delivered on Friday 07/01/22. Nothing arrived. The next morning on Saturday I got the same message to say that my parcel would be delivered. Nothing arrived. On Monday I got the same message… nothing arrived. The same thing happened each day until today (13/01/22), 11 working days later, my parcel was delivered with an invoice where I was charged the full total for 2 blankets but there was only one in the parcel.

I called everyday since the first message and nobody seemed at all interested in actually helping me locate the parcel or even saying they would contact the courier service. Just that “it will be delivered today”.

I am extremely disappointed at the level of customer service and actually appalled that I was charged for 2 blankets (expensive items at that) and after so long was only delivered one.

I would also like to point out that when you call the online assistance number, it clearly states the hours 8am to 7pm but these people leave at 5 each day I’ve been told??? In an attempt to get somebody to assist and explain what went wrong, I called customer service who immediately told me that they have no connection to online services? Customer services should be able to assist on all queries.

Please do better Truworths. I am extremely disappointed and now worried about funds, missing items and possible stock shortages.

I do hope somebody reaches out who actually wants to help.
