Limit increase
<p>The truworths group who always increase customer credit limits without their corcern or knowledge.</p> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">I had to two cards( truworths card) of which the other card was used by my sister, they increased the credit limit to R30 000 without my concern at all. They even changed my details on their system, i only discovered when i was applying for a home loan that truworths limit was above R30 000. i requested them to close the account but to this date they're still sending me massages stating that i have R30 000 to shop i van come shoping. They don't even send account statements.</div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">Now i have an identity account with them, when ever i shop they ask if i need the credit increase then i decline it, in spite of me declining they still increase without my knowledge of salary advice.</div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">I hereby request that you sort out the problem because anything that the customer request of them they do the opposite, and put us in more debt so that they can harass and blacklist us.</div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div>

At Truworths our terms and conditions applicable to our credit agreement are at all times subject to the provisions of the National Credit Act (NCA).
We have reviewed your account and whilst the credit limit indicated in your post is not the current credit limit for your account you were provided a temporary credit facility in addition to your current limit. Truworths will authorize the sale provided that the account meets the qualifying criteria. This is printed on the point-of-sale docket and accepted by the customer when he/she signs the docket authorizing the purchase.
We can confirm that we have contacted you to discuss this matter and have noted further concerns raised by you in your post and during our conversation. We can verify that we will be conducting a further investigation and are committed to remain in contact with you until this matter has been resolved or clarified.
We further confirm that your account has been closed and whilst we regret that you have decided to close your account with us, we hope that we can continue our relationship we have established with you over the years by retaining you as a cash customer.
