***IST LGBTQ+ INCIDENT AT GILDFIELDS WELKOM TRUWORTS

The worst ***SIST DISCRIMINATING shopping experience of my life. I have been insulted on numerous occasions by the STAFF of Truworths Goldfields mall in Welkom.

I am a *** woman and I was insulted firstly by a female staff member , who refused me entrance at the woman's fitting rooms and then I decided to use the male fitting rooms and a male staff member refused me access and insulted me in front of other shoppers based on my looks and ***uallity. He even sarcastically said that I can go ahead with a complaint and that he will provide me with all the details.

When will you the wake up and get gender neutral fitting rooms then if your uneducated , *********** and lazy staff cant differentiate between a white male or white female.

After the male staff member insulted me based on ***uallity and appearance , I then decided to try the pul***** on in the store as I wasn't showing nakedness in public. He almost attacked me and yelled at me again!!

My partner asked a sales lady at the shoe department to get her shoe number and when she returned after an half an hour with a nasty attitude rudely exchanged the shoes almost throwing it at us! She ignored us laying against a wall initially as if we didn't exist and were not important enough as clients.

I felt so intimated by this sales person that I wanted to wack her. It was a personal attack based on my skin colour and ***uallity.

We called for the manager Carina and she said that next time she will personally assist me and appollogised.

Appollogising in this UNFORGIVABLE INSTANCE is not enough CARINA, you should EDUCATE YOUR STAFF PRIOR TO RECEIVING CLIENTS. IN FUTURE I will rather buy ONLINE from another store , BECAUSE THIS STORE and their management treats us like third world citizens with no respect for ***ual preferences.

When we got to the point of sale , on a prior occasion , the cashier insisted my account can not belong to me, since I am not a woman and that he perceived me as a male!

I believe in the constitution of South Africa and please educate your *********** staff accordingly if you also expect to be treated with due respect!
