Irate customer

On the 16th December 2016 I bought a silver shoe for my friend as a gift. When I gave the gift I was told that it was the wrong size. Called the Parow centre branch and was informed of their 30 day return policy and was advised to call customer service. Called the customer care number and the consultant advised me the same thing and that ultimately I was told to go to the store and the branch manager such contact the area manager who would make a decision. Today I went to the store spoke to the area manager and the feedback was I've exceeded the 30 return policy and that had the shoes been worn and damaged they would have refunded. I do understand the 30 day policy however; I have it on good accord that a matric ball dress was purchased at that branch and it was returned after consultations. I am a loyal Truworths account holder my account is not in arears in actual fact it's paid up. My frustrations is 1stly why is exceptions made for certain people and not others. 2ndly do I have to be dishonest and wear the shoes and break it in order to get the refund. The shoes is in mint condition and currently still be sold in the store.

Thank you for your post.

Whilst we acknowledge your frustration in this regard, you were correctly informed that your return could not be authorized as it was after our returns period of 30 days.

This being said, your concerns were brought to the attention of the Store Manager, who we believe has called you to discuss your concerns and was able to successfully resolve this matter for you.

We hope to see you in our stores again soon.

Kindest regards,

Truworths Online Team
