I was kicked out of the changing room

I have walked in the store on Adderley Street, Cape Town. It was close to the closing time, but the doors where still open for customers. After I have found a few items that I wanted to try on I head towards the changing rooms that were closed. How come customers are still allowed to come in the store but are not allowed to try on the clothes anymore?
Anyway, an apparently nice lady let me in to try them. After a few minutes, while trying on the second item, she comes back to ask me if I am still there trying on clothes. Two minutes later, while still getting dressed she comes to ask me again if I am still trying on clothes and if I have the intent to buy anything. I have never experienced something more unpleasant in a shop than being harassed and rushed in such a manner. Of course I have stopped trying on clothes and left the fitting rooms.
On the way out, while being so surprised I ask one of the employees how come they do not let people buy anymore if the doors of the shop are still open when they came in. She looks very annoyed at me and asks me what time I went in. (once again, the doors were wide open)

Terrible customer service! NEVER going in that shop again!

Hello ruxandra,

Thank you for your post and allowing us the opportunity to attend to your concerns.

The service you have described is not at all in line with our company standards and we immediately escalated this matter to the relevant Store Manager.

The Store Manager informed us that the staff members in question did not follow the correct procedure which is that whilst a customer is in our store, they should be allowed to fit a garment, irrespective of the store's closing time. The appropriate corrective action was taken to ensure that our high service standards are upheld at all times.

We believe that you were informed of this following your telephone discussion with the Store Manager, who has also apologized for your experience in this regard.

We encourage you to contact us on *** or send an e-mail to *** if you have any further queries.

Yours sincerely,

Lynn
