I really need to know what is wrong with Truworths
I don't know what is happening with Truworths lately today I went to the Dobsonville mall one with my daughter who is 6 years old, she had a visor on not a cloth mask as we were entering the security told me that my daughter is not allowed in the store with visor she needs to put on a cloth mask. So what I would like know is that, is there a problem with kids wearing visors instead of cloth mask. Firstly kids don't like masks , so now am being told she can't go in

We can confirm that one of our consultants tried contacting you but were unsuccessful in their attempt. We acknowledge your frustration and can assure you that the strict protocols implemented by Truworths are in accordance with all relevant legislation and guidelines issued by the Government. Specifically, Regulation 5 promulgated under the Disaster Management Act provides that a person must wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth in a public place. Also, the consolidated Directions on Occupational Health and Safety Measures in certain Workplaces expressly provides at section 43.6 that an employer must require members of the public, including children over the age of 2 years, to wear face mask/covering that covers both their nose and mouth when inside their premises. There is no provision for visors as an alternative to masks in such circumstances.
