How is this 6 months interest free?

For the last few months my installment has been R1030, it didn't matter how low my actual balance was.
The current total balance outstanding was R1600 and yet the installment was R1030 on a 6 months INTEREST FREE account.

My young children can even calculate that R1600/6 is NOT R1030. Perhaps your staff need training or your systems should be updated.

I have paid the R1030 via EFT days ago which is apparently still not showing and I paid in a cash amount yesterday. How does it take so long to reflect? I don't have problems with any other company, only Truworths.

I want someone to contact me to let me know exactly to the cent what is still outstanding so I can close my account and be rid of your ********** terms.

6 months interest free should be just that, not the highest balance ever on the account and then never changed.

Hello DG,

Thank you for your post.

We would like to advise you that the monthly installments for all our account customers are calculated on the highest balance, as agreed upon in our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Granting of Credit.

According to our records, you have made regular monthly purchases on the account, and as such, we can therefore confirm that your monthly installments were accurately calculated. With regards to the EFT payment that was made on 27 January 2015, we verify that the amount mentioned reflected onto your Truworths account on 29 January 2015.

Your account is currently up to date with payment, and there is no remaining balance due. As one of our valued customers, we sincerely hope that you will reconsider closing your account with us.

Please feel free to contact us on *** or send an e-mail to *** should you have any other queries or suggestions.

Kind regards,
Charmaine
