Harassing Daily Calls from Truworths Collections - Over 70 Calls!
I am writing this review out of complete frustration and to warn other customers about Truworths' aggressive debt collection tactics.
I, Agisanang Masoko, hold an account at Truworths and I am fully aware of my outstanding debt. I have never denied it and I have been making payments towards it every month, even when times are tough.
However, the collections department has taken harassment to a new level. For the past few days, I have received over SEVENTY (70) missed calls from them. This is not an exaggeration. Calling me daily, and multiple times a day, does not make me able to pay any faster. Instead, it makes me feel like a ******** and causes immense stress. I am doing my best to manage my finances and fulfill my obligations.
I have explained that business has been bad, but that I will make a payment at the end of the month as I always do. They are not listening. This constant barrage is unprofessional, counterproductive, and feels abusive.
My formal requests to Truworths are:
1. IMMEDIATELY STOP the excessive daily phone calls. This is harassment. 2. Acknowledge that I am committed to paying and that I do make payments. 3. Adhere to ethical debt collection practices as per the National Credit Act.
I am posting this here because private communication seems to have no effect. I hope this public review will prompt Truworths to train their collections team on professional conduct and to cease this unbearable harassment.
