Harassed and telephonically abused by debt collectors for a debt that has nothing to do with me

For the last two years I have been pestered telephonically by various debt collectors acting for Truworths looking for a customer named EL Tshabalala. This person provided Truworths with my address and telephone number as her own (it's a female, I was told) and even claimed to be employed by me. I don't know this person at all.

It's obvious that absolutely no credit check was done on this EL Tshabalala, but how convenient for Truworths to have a name and number for someone who does not even have a Truworths account, to harass the money out of. I wonder how many innocent people have given in, just to get these nasty, aggressive debt collectors off their backs.

I, alas for Truworths, am not one of these suckers. The last time I visited a branch of Truworths I asked for an item to be ordered that was not in stock in my size. I was told I would have to open an account with the store to qualify for this "special service". I rejected this blatant manipulation and have not set foot in a Truworths store since.

Truworths, you are reckless lenders at best and accessories to fr**d at worst. Remember when Shoprite Furniture was hit with a hefty penalty for reckless lending last year? I can't wait for it to happen to you.

You are hereby ordered to take my name and details off your debtors list, and off all your debt collectors lists. Personally I feel stones for all the bad debt you rack up and the way you bulldust your silly shareholders, but LEAVE ME OUT OF IT.
