****** Mary
To whom it may concern
I feel very disgruntled with my last purchase at Truworths. I purchase THREE ****** Mary items last year in June. Two pairs of boots R685, R700 and a bag of R400. Three months later my bag started to peel off I didn't really complain, because I'm not the type of customer to complain about everything. However, this winter I take my Mary ****** boots out of the cupboard to my disappointment I see the same thing has happened again. The foot part of the boot is still in good condition not peeling/flaking what so ever. I've not used my shoes excessively hence I was not ashamed to take them back to the shop. The leg of the boot is the problem and it's weird because is the part of the shoe that's hardly exposed. However contacted the shop requested that they must fix not replaced the shoes. They told me no they will send it for a quality assessment, kept the boots close to a month and told me sorry it's past the defect exchange policy. In one year lost +_R1100 at Truworths. It seems like the either selling cheap or very old fabrics and just sow ****** Mary labels on. I think even the Chinese shops produce better and cheaper quality then Truworths

At Truworths, providing our customers with quality merchandise of international standards is of fundamental importance to us. We do, however realize, that some quality inconsistencies could occur occasionally and therefore Truworths has developed a Returns Policy that allows for an exchange or refund on items presenting with manufacturing faults, provided all the requirements of this policy are met.
Upon investigation we established that the boots mentioned in your post were purchased in June 2014 you were therefore correctly informed by our store that a return could not be authorized.
As you were not happy with the decision we have liaised with the Quality Assurance department who has agreed to assess the boots for the defect mentioned in your post.
We are committed to provide you with feedback once the assessment has been concluded.
Should you in the interim have any further comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact us should you have any further queries or suggestions, on *** or e-mail us at ***.
Thank you for being such a loyal ****** Mary customer.
Kind regards,
Lynn
