Gift card, full amount taken...with no purchases done.

I saved a gift card for my Christmas gifting this year and was advised at the store that it expired but they might be able to assist at head office

The card hasnt been used and it was my savings from 2*** covid time incase i need it later

I understand it expired but noted on this site and other that customers were assisted with expired cards..

It seens unfair that I dont get the same treatment. Even a penalty would be considered fair...but to take the full amount..

I dont earn what your CEO gets... this to me is a big blow... i am at the bottom of income and this hits hard.

You said it covid time...take care our valued customers... This is not fair. The day before Christmas...not being able to get gifts for my family...

Truworths... not all customers are valued..

What if I as a customer said after some time im not paying my account it expired...

I was embarrassed in the store but treated your staff politely and the customers behind me...
