Get your act together
On Friday evening (03.03.2023) time 18:42 I went to Truworths at Capegate , I didn't make use of the normal tills at the back of the store due to the extremely long queues , the sales person advised me to make use of the Elements counter. When I got to the counter I was met with an inhospitable consultant who looked like she wasn’t having it from no one. I asked if she was tired she said yes the transaction continued and upon completion I told her to be a better person when dealing with people , I was ignored.
I would like to ask Truworths as an institution a couple of questions to better understand the fundamentals of what this business is built on :
• What's you view on client service ?
The saying goes respect goes a long way , I’m of the belief that it comes from both sides. I don’t recall approaching the counter in a hostile way nor do or would I of said anything to instigate an attitude from the consultant.
• Does Truworths have an employer assistance program?
We live in a volatile world and a number of things could’ve happened or was said that altered that persons attitude towards me. The EAP suggestion is how far is Truworths willing to go to support a positive working place so that it doesn’t spill over into a complaint like this.
• Does Truworths as a brand expect a certain type of client to walk through its doors before proper respect can be given?
I’m seen as a number by the brand and it doesn’t offend me in any sense , I respect the brand enough for the service that’s provided to me and there is a mutual understanding that is built out of that. The general belief is that employers represents to an extent becoming the face , but when that face show negative attitude and becomes disoriented with the client it serving it creates a crack in this set out relationship. So when I say I’m angry with what happened I’m angry with Truworths and I’m not impressed with what happened.
I’m not looking for “ We so sorry” you need to fix your store brand and maybe learn the value of what true customer service is.
