I am absolutely disgusted by the fact that Truworths allowed my ex girlfriend to open accounts using my surname and address, whilst her surname differs and she stays in another town. All she used was an affidavit from the police and the accounts was opened using my details. Solving this in court? What am I supposed to do? Pieter Bacons ***

At Truworths, we view issues of ***** and irregular credit activity in a very serious light and were thus concerned to read of your experience. We therefore immediately conducted an investigation into this matter.
We wish to further verify that an affidavit cannot be used to activate a Truworths account as original documentation is required.
We can confirm that we have contacted you and informed you of the outcome of our investigation and you advised that you have lodged a case at the SAPS to further investigate this matter.
