***** on the 13th March 2019, I received a call from 063 VBM, stating that I was owing Truworths. I advised them that I do not have an account with Truworths and I have never opened the account with Truworths

I went to Truworths store at Boulders Mall(Midrand) on the 13th March 2019. They validated that someone did open an account using my details and looking at the patterns of the particular buyer, this could have been *****. I was told that there was no cellphone number of the person(*********) who went to pick up the card on the Truworth system. I was then advise to go make an affidavit.

When I went to do the affidavit at the police station in Midrand, the police officer advised that it's ***** and that I should open a ***** case and not write the affidavit and for me to do that I must get the information that was used open the account (Id copy used, application form ect).

On the 15th March I received a call from VBM again, the lady I spoke to advised that I should do the affidavit, copy of ID and 6 signatures on an empty paper. I did go to the mall of Africa truworth and submitted the information.

On the 16th March 2019, I received a call from VBM asking me as to why I was not paying the account. I told the lady that I have never opened the account with Truworth. I told her that I have submitted my affidavit at the mall Africa. Her response was that my affidavit will not help me, I must pay the money or face the consequences of being handed over. She is convinced that I'm the one who opened the account. After being coerced by the lady, I ended up being rude.

I would like to have access to the id copy that was used at the store to open the account and the form . If it is the same id copy as the one that I have provided at the mall of Africa, I therefore would like the person who accepted the form to be investigated as I have never app**** for the account.

According to the lady my word and the affidavit will not help me , I therefore would like to have the video footages of the shops where the transactions(shopping spree) occurred.

I was advised that I should do the affidavit however I'm now told that it will not help me. Could you please advise of the process that will help me as I have never opened the account with Truworth and how to prevent being handed over for something that I did not do.
