FORCED TO PAY INCORRECT MARKED PRICE

I went into Southgate Truworths on 15/03/16. I found a Jacket that I liked marked R99.00, and when I got to the till, the cashier processed the sale only to find out that the system gives out a price of R310.00. I queried this and the staff having seen the error, called the store manager who took his own time to respond. after more than 10minutes wait he asked the staff member to bring the jacket to him. He eventually came out after another 5 or so minutes to tell me that, the price tag reflects R199.and that is all his prepared to give me the jacket for. I refused to take it at that price. he promised to take it up with his manager and get back to me. I am still waiting.<br> I have a picture of the price clearly marked R99.00

Hello violetthandi,

Thank you for notifying us of this matter and affording us the opportunity to clarify your concerns.

At Truworths, we strive to offer our customers a shopping experience which is both effortless and pleasant. We were therefore concerned to hear about your experience at one of our stores.

Following our telephonic conversation with the relevant Store Manager, we confirm that this matter has been brought to the attention of their Area Manager. Following his assessment, we were advised that the respective jacket is still available at the store for R199. The price can unfortunately not be marked down any lower, as the number one is still noticeable on the price tag.

The Store Manager tried to contact you with regards to the outcome to your query, however, you phone went to voicemail each time.

We value your support and appreciate your feedback, and hope that you will be able to accept our stance regarding this matter.

Kind regards,
Charmaine
