Flagrant disregard for customer care
As a loyal Truworths Client for the past 7 years, I am disinclined to be a client any further. I have historically never defaulted on the payments to my account however the payment due on the 06 May 2018, I missed. This was a total oversight on my side and I was totally oblivious to this miss as everything else in my financial life was in order. Then for the past 3 days since the 15th of May 2018 I have been communicated in such a manner so as to feel like a ******** with the harassing almost threatening emails, SMSs and telephone calls. On the 16th of May 2018 an email was compiled and sent to ********** to detail the absolute breakdown in relations between this service provider and myself. The just is that there is no correlation of information, no or lack of communication s****s basically an absolute lack of customer care. For Heaven’s sake they didn’t even ask how it could have happened just straight when are you going to pay the amount? In my email I requested a new statement reflecting payment made on the 15th of May 2018 and the procedure I need to follow to close my account. I asked for a response within 24 hours, which is more time than they gave between initial communication to threatening with handing over to debt collectors / lawyers. In closing - as per Truworths' words there has been a breakdown of relations and although my account is small, your company has lost a loyal customer.
Thank you for your post.
We acknowledge your frustration regarding the collections communication that you have received. When customers do not meet their payment commitments, our correspondence is systematically generated as a reminder of the current status of your account. We however regret that through your experience it was not received for its intended purpose.
As mentioned in your post, an account payment was made on 15 May 2018. However, as advised, when a payment is made using an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), it will on average take between two to five working days to reflect onto the customer’s account, as this is the norm with any EFT from any bank. We can however confirm that your payment is currently reflecting on your account.
We sincerely apologise for any upset due to this matter, as it was certainly not our intention to cause you any unnecessary frustration.
We trust that we were able to satisfactorily attend to your query, and hope that you would reconsider your decision to close your account.
Should you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact us on *** or via email on ***.
Kind regards,
