false advise from store employees
I bought a Samsung galaxy J1 ace fron truworths menlyn in Pretoria on Sunday 28/02/2016 already on Tuesday it started freezing and giving signal problems I thought it would get better but as it didn't I called the store on Thursday and spoke to 2 different consultants that toksd me to bring the phone and pick up a brand new exchange. After asking them I'f I can not take it to a truworths store in jhb instead of travelling all the way to pta they said no I must go directly to pta and bring the handset with its accessories I will get a new handset.only when i got to their store they told me no they will take it for a 3 to 5 weeks assessment, whilst handset was within its 7 days. I spoke to Ethel and Amelia and at the store I spoke to Emelly who is a store manager whom infect walked away from me and left me with Betty and Blantina. I waisted my time and money by travelling from JHB to PTA and only to get pathetic, false and *********** service. Never will Iever buy a handset from Truworths never again.they just making money and not giving back as promised customer service.
Thank you for your post.
Cellphone purchases and returns are subject to MTN's Returns Policy.
According to this policy, when the customer signs the CPD (Customer Pickup Document) they confirm that the handset being purchased is fit for purpose and is only returnable if it has an Out of Box failure within seven days from the date of purchase.
Upon liaising with the Admin Manager, we were informed the handset presented no fault on the day of your return; as such a credit could not be authorized. As you were not happy with the feedback received, she offered to send it to MTN for a warrantee assessment however this was regrettably declined by you.
Should you encounter any problem with your handset, please return it to the store so that MTN can do a comprehensive assessment.
Kind regards,
Lynn
