Failure to resolve a ********** account

My husband was hijacked in August 2017 and my ID and laptop were ****** in the process. Ensuing from this, ********** accessed my private information (ID, payslip, bank statement etc) and started attempting to open credit accounts in my name.

On 14 November 2017 I received an sms from Truworths informing me to please pay my outstanding account. I was shocked as I do not have a Truworths account and called the call center to try and explain that the account my be ********** and email them with an affidavit.

The service I got was efficient and rude! these were the responses to my requests: 1.You need to the police station and make an affidavit specifically for the Truworths account you cannot use the generic affidavit stating your ID was ******. 2.Truworths does not have an email address, please fax your documents to ********** 6599 3. We are head office and cannot advise on the status of the account you need to go to a branch to submit the affidavit and await further instructions on progress.

WHY!!! Truworths failed to do the necessary verification checks before granting credit and now I must do the run around.

Can I please get an email address to submit my affidavit and close this ********** account.

I received calls from Vodacom,Telkom,Homechoice and other service providers attempting to verify my details before granting credit
