Exchange not allowed

I bought a Mac powder in George. I wasn’t sure of the number and was told I could change it. Seven days later my daughter took it with the till slip and the correct number for the exchange. They would not do it as she didn’t have my Truworths card. ALL details were on the slip. We don’t live in George so at the next opportunity it all went back with a friend, with my card and she was told it was too late. I phoned Truworths a week ago to explain the situation. I am still waiting for them to call me back.
