Excellent Customer service
Hello Peter,
This is a bit delayed due to load shedding and a slow Internet in the past week.
My sister and I visited few retailers in Tygervalley last Wednesday, we where looking to buy a phone as a gift, so we saw one for R1600 which was on our budget at some retailer and then we decided to go check the phones at a Truworths.
Upon arriving at Truworths while approaching the phones a young vibrant African gentleman (Sandile or Siyanda) approached us with a big smile and so much kindness and he offered to help us now in all the stores we have been no one greeted us or offer any assistance. So this was totally new to us. However the gentleman did not have the Samsung phone on the display and also we did not know the model of Samsung Phone that will be within our budget. So he said he can go get the phones and the back and he apologize that he doesn’t not have it on display hence they had just received stock with no demos but he told us the prices of these phones so this was annoying a little bit and then we decided to go buy the one for R1600 in another store.
However on our way back to Woolies we couldn’t forget Sandile’s kindness and his willingness to help so my sister and I decided to go back to Sandile and we took the phone for R3000 that we did not even see all because of his kindness and approach.
Rosy rang up the phone for us while Sandile is on her side, she was friendly aswell it was indeed a beautiful experience.

I wanted to write a new review on Truworths Cape Gate mall. However it does not allow but rather to write a reply on this one.
I am writing this with so much sadness and disappointment with Estée Lauder consultant and cosmetics staff at Truworths Cape Gate mall.
On the 18th February I bought some Estée Lauder products at Truworths Canal walk one being a Double wear foundation ( Sandalwood) since I was not sure about the color the consultant gave me 2 samples of Amber honey and Sandalwood to try before opening the actual product.
So I kinda liked Amber honey better than the Sandalwood so I went to Truworths Tygervalley shopping mall about a week ago to exchange Sandalwood for Amber honey. The Estée Lauder consultant there open the foundation to check if it hasn’t been used ( 1st time this bottle was opened since I bought it). However she did not have the stock of Amber honey so She referred me to Cape Gate mall which is very convenient for me hence I live in the area.
So 14th March 2022 I went to Truworths Cape Gate mall. I explained my story the lady the wanted to check if the foundation has not been used she then opened the bottle and closed it (2nd time the bottle is now being opened) And the she called called her colleagues to confirm if the products were not use the colleague open the bottle and closed it back (3rd time now the bottle is being opened) They then went to go call the Estée Lauder consultant to authorise the exchange the Estée Lauder consultant opened the bottle ( 4th time the bottle is being opened. Estée Lauder consultant then said the foundation has been opened and the inside of the lid is got some stains so the product have been opened and used so therefore she cannot allow the exchange. Strange enough I bought a concealer from them while selling me this concealer she did not even checked if it’s in good position.
Of course the the bottle is been opened, they have been opening and closing it and now because of my carelessness I am sitting with a brand new product worth of R700 that I cannot even use. I don’t understand why is it Truworths policy and Estée Lauder policy for a client to keep a product they not happy as for opening and using the products it’s a White lie, I have never!
I have about 3 or 4 samples of Estée Lauder foundation ( different shades) there is no way I would use the foundation and then take it back, I was given strict instruction by the lady that sold it to me.
They are the one you cause stains,
I want a return not longer interested in exchanging because of the way they handled the situation.
I would never recommend anyone to shop at the Estée Lauder counter in Cape Gate mall, it’s just mediocre at it best.
