Double standards by truworths
Recently closed my account with truworths. I called them on Friday 1 June 2018 for a letter that proved that my account with them is closed and I was told that I would receive with 3 working weeks. The lady called me on 2 June 2018 asking reason as to why im closing my account and she also told me that I would receive the letter within 3 working weeks when I asked why it took so long she said it's because the letter is posted from Cape town to my physical address when I asked her about an email she told me that I would receive the letter within a minute. I waited and waited for the letter until I decided to call them and the guy who helped me told that it was not possible to get the letter during the weekend. I do not understand why do they have double standards? All this time I have receiving my statements on my email and now that im in need of that letter urgently I have to wait? Im Soo glad I closed the account and I will never open it again as this was not the first time truworths has given me bad service

We can however confirm that the respective calls were listened to, and that both consultants correctly advised that the three weeks waiting period for the requested letter is only applicable when it is posted to the customer’s address noted.
We are however pleased that the required letter was emailed to you on 04 June 2018, and hope that we were able to adequately attend to your concerns raised.
