DO NOT APPLY FOR TRUWORTHS ACC - SMS SPAM
In store they convince you to open up an account to receive the R1000 in vouchers IMMEDIATELY. I proceed to apply to open an account and after the application is submitted only do they tell me that I still need to be approved/reviewed for credit. After my first application didn't even bother to notify me of the acceptance or rejection thereof, I started receiving 10+ sms's from Truroyalty (which the application in store on a mobile device does not tell you you will be part of) and the sms's do not have an opt out option!! I tried finding my info on the Truworths website and lo and behold my first application never went through but they still subscribed me to this stupid rewards program of them...
I now want to cancel the Trurewards and NO WHERE online, in the profile, in the terms and conditions is an opt out option. I would have liked to be given a CHOICE to opt in in the first place!!!
