Disgusted with Truworths Quality

In June I purchased a pair of boots from truworths to the value of R675 and in less than 2 months the strap around the carves area of the boot came loose. I'm absolutely disgusted at the quality of good sold by Truworths. Definitely no value for ur money at all and when u take the items back they want to tell u about a returns query which is utter *******, this **** policy of theirs. It is not like i break the damn stuff it is their cheap quality of goods they sell but want to tell u they will have to see if the item will be credited or refunded. I shudder to think of going to their stores to take the boots back, however I promise to drag their name through the mud for the way in which customers are humiliated by their **** policies. Then they don't have the common decency to call their customers and face them they send emails instead but I want a manager to call me so I can give them a bit of my mind and they must try and tell me they are not refunding my money, I will see to it that a complaint for every fault of theirs are known to the public..disgusted is an understatement. I will make sure that their business suffers..I await the response from their management team..

Hello Miller36,

Thank you for your post and allowing us the opportunity to attend to your concerns.

We acknowledge your frustration regarding the quality of the pair of boots you purchased from us. Whilst we make every effort to ensure that our customers are provided with quality garments of international standards, we are aware that quality inconsistencies may occur and as such developed our returns policy.

Our procedure for returns on defective merchandise, is that the store manager needs to assess the merchandise for the defect. Should he/she be unable to make a decision in this regard, the merchandise is sent to our Quality Assurance department at our Head Office for further assessment.

Following our telephonic conversation we confirm that you have returned the boots to the store on 7 August 2015 and we will contact you no later than Friday, 14 August with the final decision.

We sincerely hope that we were able to adequately attend to query and clarify your concerns.

Kind regards,

Lynn
