Discount voided by travel and time expenses

Went shopping for shirts at Truworths Canal Walk. Found some slim fits on promotion (Buy 1 get 30% off second). Checked with the sales assistant if this app**** to all shirts on the sale rack as they were the same style and were also marked with stickers relating to the promotion. He confirmed a and I went ahead with fitting. I selected 4 different colours but at the till point was informed that even thought the shirts I had selected were on the sale rack and each were marked with promotional stickers, this was not the case and that I could only get 2 of the shirts in promotion. I asked the cashier if I could switch colours and select other marked shirts and both she and her supervisor agreed. I went upstairs, selected two marked replacement shirts and was once again informed by the supervisor that these were not on promotion. I waited while an investigation was conducted by the supervisor but had to leave with only two of the selected shirts. Before leaving I advised the supervisor that the promotional signage and stickers would need to be removed as this was misleading and false adverti*****t.

I went to Cavendish Square where I selected the same style of shirt on promotion and had no problems having the manager process the promotional pricing. This was a waste of my time, resources and contravenes CPA in regards to honoring prices on display linked to items.
