Disappointing experience at Truworths

<p>I recently went to Truworths to purchase some items and wanted to use my credit note issued to me a few months ago after I returned some items which I was unsatisfied with. After a substantial amount of time browsing and selecting items, when I reached the till and submitted my credit note for redemption, I was told that it had expired and nothing can be done. I find this completely ridiculous as this is rightfully my money and I feel I have been ****** by Truworths. The items returned were done so in a few days and in the original condition. When issued with the credit note, I was not told that it will have to be used within 3 months, and thus only redeemed it now. This is completely against my right as a consumer as I wasn't even given an option of cash back which is what most other clothing enterprises offer with returns. My credit note was worth more than R500 which is not an amount I am willing to just throw away because of this absurd policy and the incompetence of the employees. This horrible experience has completely deterred me and my family from ever shopping from Truworths in the future. </p>
