Disappointed

My account was in arrears to the value of R3220 as of my November statement. My credit limit is R7300 and my balance owing was R8344.44. December 16 I made a payment for R3220 which was my arrears amount. My balance owing went down to R5298 and on slip it said I had R2000 that I could use for purchases. Now to my surprise this morning I went to buy clothing for my kids and I checked how much credit I had, the printout I received said I had a negative R1218 which was strange because on the 16 I had R2000 to spend. So I paid that amount thinking that was my installment due for December. After making the payment i had R0.00 to spend and my current balance was R7300.15. The lady at the till tried to explain but I couldn't her reasoning and explanation. The way I understand it is that my balance owing as of December 11 was at R8518.15, I paid in total R4438 meaning my current balance should be R4080 but it's standing at R7300.15. I should have credit for 3220 but it's at R0.00. May someone break this down for and explain how is it that am still owing truworths R7300 after paying so much because if this is the case it would mean I was owing truworths close to R12000 yet according to my latest statement it was R8518.15.

My account number: ********** **********
